Abstract

This research aimed to determine the factors that influence the export capacity of companies belonging to sector C10 (Food Products Manufacturing) during the five-year period 2018-2022. The analysis was based on data extracted from the Business Structural Survey, a statistical instrument managed by the National Institute of Statistics and Census, which provides detailed information on the economic activities of entities in the sector under study. Methodologically, a logistic regression model was implemented to calculate export probability in relation to various business variables. The findings revealed that three factors exert a statistically significant influence on the probability of export: the presence of foreign direct investment, female leadership in business management, and the organizational dimension of the company. The ultimate purpose of this study is to provide empirical evidence that companies can incorporate into their strategies to strengthen their presence and competitiveness in international markets.
