The Virtual Education Platform to strengthen teaching-learning in General Basic Education
Main Article Content
Abstract
At present, the level of General Basic Education throughout Ecuador has suffered a disruption due to the health emergency (Covid-19), where teachers and students have had to change their teaching-learning methodology, carrying out their activities online from their homes. The problem with this research is that most of the Educational Units, especially in the city of Cuenca-Ecuador, do not have a virtual platform that contributes to their educational processes, in moments of emergency
(Covid-19). However, their lack of knowledge, application and use of these technological tools have allowed a misconception to be formed throughout society, moving away from the true concept of virtual education. The objective of this study is to design an improvement plan to try to improve the teaching-learning through a virtual platform that facilitates the activities to the students of this level. The methodology of this research is of a descriptive type with a quantitative approach, where
the deductive method will be applied, for the same reason surveys will be developed for authorities, teachers, and students of the educational centers. The results obtained from the research allow the support of virtual platforms for efficient teaching-learning through the proposed Improvement Plan. With the contribution of this study, the Educational Centers will be aligned to a higher academic level, forming students with quality standards.
