Keywords:
Fair trade, informality, agricultural women, multiple factor analysisAbstract
Given the growing presence of women farmers in the informal trade in different cases in Latin America and the lack of
information on these groups and the difficulties they face, the aim is to characterize the marketing processes of agricultural
products and their particularities, on issues related to the food system, marketing processes, transfer and use of public space.
Under a quantitative methodological design, information is obtained from a sample of agricultural women belonging to the
Sinincay parish, canton Cuenca, and through the technique of multiple factor analysis, the data of the groups of variables
are analyzed individually and globally, which provides information on individuals or homogeneous groups. The presence of
married and single women who are characterized by owning rented or leased land without debt and are dedicated solely to
agricultural activity is highlighted.
