Impact of Covid-19 on fast food micro-enterprises in the city of Cuenca in the period March 2020 – second half of 2021

Abstract
The proposed article aims to analyze the impact generated by the Covid-19 pandemic on fast food micro-enterprises in the city of Cuenca in the period March 2020 - second half of 2021. This sector was hit drastically, because they had great losses in their businesses, customers due to confinement chose not to visit the premises for fear of contracting the virus. Due to the pandemic, companies had to implement isolation, causing a
great risk when transporting raw materials for the production of their products. Micro-enterprises due to restrictions were forced to lay off their workers, as sales decreased substantially. In
this sense, the objective of this research work is to analyze the impact caused by the virus on fast food micro-enterprises in the city of Cuenca in the period from March 2020 to June 2021, since due to the pandemic
fast food micro-enterprises did not have the service they required to satisfy their customers, so that
the situation improves, changes must be made. To achieve the research objective, we will establish statistical data, which
we will carry out through surveys with the owners of the premises in the surrounding areas of the city of Cuenca, they
will be tabulated giving as a response about the impact they have had due to this pandemic and it will be demonstrated what strategies
they implemented during the crisis to satisfy their customers and reactivate their businesses.
