ANALYSIS OF THE SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC IMPACT OFTHE KALARY BUSINESS INCUBATOR ON PARTICIPATINGSTUDENTS: A STUDY OF THE YEARS 2022 AND 2023

Abstract

This study analyzes the social and economic impact of the Kalary Business Incubator on participating students between 2022
and 2023. Given the crucial role of incubators in economic development, its influence on the generation of entrepreneurial
opportunities and skills was examined. A structured questionnaire was administered to 93 students selected by probabilistic
sampling using a quantitative approach and a non-experimental design. The key variables evaluated were economic impact,
social impact, and overall satisfaction, using a Likert scale. The analysis, performed with SmartPLS 4, enabled the assessment
of relationships among these variables through a structural equation model. The results showed that the incubator significantly
influenced the social and economic development of the participants. The social impact was particularly relevant, highlighting
the creation of contact networks, the strengthening of entrepreneurial skills, and professional empowerment. In economic
terms, a positive effect was observed on financial sustainability and access to financing, although this was less pronounced
compared to the social impact. It is concluded that the Kalary Business Incubator is fundamental in entrepreneurial training,
providing resources and strategic mentorship. To optimize its impact, it is recommended to expand access to financing,
promote innovation, and strengthen participation in business networks.
