THE ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGEMENT IN COMMERCIAL ESTABLISHMENTS UNDER THE HORIZONTAL PROPERTY REGIME UNDER THE MILES & SNOW STRATEGIC CONFIGURATION APPROACH: CASE OF THE PLAZA BOCAGRANDE SHOPPING CENTER, CARTAGENA
Main Article Content
Abstract
The administration of horizontal property for commercial purposes is a topic that is little addressed by the academy; in
fact, few graduate studies have focused on the analysis of properties for commercial purposes; most of them deal with
horizontal property for family purposes. This is due, in part, to the fact that the law that regulates this type of property
places greater emphasis on multifamily horizontal property, and that this type of property is more abundant in the market
than those intended for commercial use. However, this does not mean that the administrative management of both types of
property is not equally challenging. Horizontal property for commercial purposes also requires administrative management
processes and approaches to ensure its proper functioning and sustainability. For this reason, this article explores a case
study on administrative management in commercial establishments under the horizontal property regime using Miles &
Snow’s strategic configuration approach, this study was conducted in the Plaza Bocagrande Shopping Center in Cartagena,
Colombia.
