Abstract

The rural economic reactivation is intertwined with the initiatives of ecotourism, agrotourism and community tourism projects.
Tourism is seen as a line of economic diversification that generates employment, affirms the attachment to the land and its
resources, to cultural identities with opportunities. The tourism sector needs to evolve and adapt to new market trends and
preferences, but in many cases the industry lacks the innovative tools that encourage creativity in the preparation of products
and their promotion and marketing through the Internet and networks. social, thus increasing profitability in its operations.
Therefore, the formal objective of this research is to know if agrotourism as an activity can be a viable sustainable economic
alternative in the post-COVID era. And for this we consider relevant and privileged information to give certainty and verify
that this activity generates many benefits and advantages for our country and is a symbol of economic growth for each of
the regions. Through concrete and real data from specific institutions such as the Ministry of Agricultural Development
(MIDA), the Ministry of Tourism (ATP), the Chamber of Commerce and other entities that guarantee to provide information,
we were able to build this informative and descriptive article that is very necessary for future research. research and future
developments in the different regions. With which we could conclude that agrotourism is a sustainable economic alternative
capable of generating income in vulnerable areas of the country and where sustainability is a key element in the development
of tourism and therefore it is convenient to say that tourism fully considers the repercussions current and future, economic,
social, and environmental to meet the needs of visitors, industry, the environment, and host communities.
